I write commercials to pay the bills. I write stories, poems, lyrics and the like for me. My goal is to write stuff I find interesting full time, which is the goal of all writers at some point.

On we go....

After taking a bit of time ( less than an hour, to be exact ) to reflect on today's happenings, the tremendous high and the plummet that followed, I am happy to report that I have been able to see the upside of this situation.

1 ) The book is finished. I have a word count - 32,164 to be exact - and can provide a complete manuscript upon request.

2) I have a renewed sense of purpose. This setback has not in any way deterred me from doing what I set out to do from the beginning. To see my book not only in print, but on bookstore shelves and in the hands of people who will read ( and hopefully enjoy ) it.

3) I am in no way intimidated by Agents or Publishers. I BELIEVE in my story and am going to perservere.

4 ) I have sent submission queries to two different agencies in the last hour and 40 minutes. It took no time at all to put together the package, as specified because I now have a complete manuscript.

Now that I know how it feels to be on the cusp of achieving what I have worked so hard for, I want it more than I ever did before. For that I am exceedingly grateful.
