It's not easy, liking green....

I feel sorry for green candy. It always seems to get picked last. Apple, lime or mint. Each has their own merit. Yet, I've noticed in my travels that if there's a bag/bowl of assorted candy being passed around, no one picks green. Everyone always paws thru the assortment, looking for cherry or grape. Nobody says "Hey, are there any green ones in there? I LOVE green!" Green candy is kinda like the chubby kid in phys ed. Nobody wants to get stuck with them. I've actually witnessed a bowl of candy, sitting in a common area and it's been picked thru to the point that the only kind left are the green ones. This strikes me as sort of funny ( not humorous but odd ) because lime slushy-drinks are really popular. It's my favorite flavor, hands freakin' down.

A few years back, I took up the cause of the green candy. I started picking it, even if there were cherry or grape to choose from. I even go so far as to get excited and give the green candy a shout out. YAY! GREEN! I LOVE GREEN! People usually look at me funny or say something like "Really? You like green?" You bet your sweet bippy, I like green. Say it with me, people....GREEN ROCKS!
