I write commercials to pay the bills. I write stories, poems, lyrics and the like for me. My goal is to write stuff I find interesting full time, which is the goal of all writers at some point.

I B Ritin'

I think I may have found a publisher for my poetry book. Now the question is....will they have me? I am putting together a proposal and have sent them a short e-mail with a couple of questions to ensure that I'm presenting it appropriately. As soon as I hear back, I'll be putting everything together and sending it off. Not allowing any time to talk myself out of it. I'll post an update as soon as I know more.

I'm actually pretty impressed with the fact that not only did I carry thru with a book idea but that I kept the deadline ( I have until Jan 26 to finish all 100 poems and I think I have 28 or so left to write with over a month left ). On top of it all, I have researched the market, found a Canadian publisher that only deals with Canadian authors and am in the process of seriously sending it out. Slap my palm, people!

I have written a novella ( too long for short story, not long enough for a novel ) and am still in the final edit stage ( which has taken over a year but I'm doing the best I can at this point with no computer at home ). It is my goal to get that finished up before the end of this month and sent off, as well. I have chosen an agent that I feel would best represent my work and my interests - we'll see how that one goes.

I have an idea for another piece of young adult fiction, an idea for an episode of "Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends" ( if you haven't seen this animated gem, head to www.cartoonnetwork.com/tv_shows/fosters/ ) and an idea for another novel that would be considered adult fiction / Gothic Horror-type. My goal is to get the "Fosters" script written and sent off by March and then start one of the other two. Provided, of course, that I don't get any other ideas that I just can't set aside between now and then ( it's been known to happen ).

My goal is to have enough projects on the go to keep me busy over the next few years and to be writing full-time from home within 3 years. Stranger things have been known to happen, just look at....( insert your interpretation of that statement here )

I'll try and fit you into my busy schedule once I'm rich and famous and rubbing elbows ( and other bits of my anatomy ) with fabulous people.

Or I could just walk across the room and sign it for you....SIGH.
